Meeting the McKennas

I read a lot of books, but one of my favorite series is Alaskan Courage by Dani Pettrey.   The series talks about the McKenna family and their crazy life in Yancey, Alaska. There are five McKennas: Cole, Gage, Kayden, Reef, and Piper. The McKenna parents died when Reef and Piper  were in high school, so Cole raised them with Gage's help. I would love to meet this family for so many reasons. First, I have always wanted an older brother and the McKenna family has three! And of course they are so protective of their sisters, acting like the perfect older brothers. Cole makes sure that everyone is safe and gives advice to everyone. Gage is the joker, making everyone laugh and is constantly teasing his sisters. Reef, however, is a mystery, but its clear that everyone loves him dearly. Second, the McKennas are Christians and they all have a strong faith (except for Reef who is, once again, a mystery).  Being a Christian myself, I admire and marvel over their strong faith.  This family experiences their share of hardships, but they still remain faithful. I would really like seeing that too. Furthermore, this family is, for the most part, very caring and accepting of other people. The entire family accepts a man named Jake into their family even though they know almost nothing about him. Kayden was always a little wary of Jake, but soon she realizes how wrong her judgements were. Cole accepts his old girlfriend (now future wife) and forgives her of everything she did to him. This family not only love and care for each other, but they extend that care to other people. These are just a few reasons for why I would want to meet the McKenna family. I guess that I will just have to be content with dreaming about them instead. :)
